I love before and afters, don’t you?
Peter and I went looking for the perfect piece for our sun/dining room. The room is narrow and the table fits nicely but we needed something along the wall to use as a sideboard. Couldn’t find a piece that had the right dimensions until . . .
We took a look in our own barn! Up in the loft, there it was covered with dust and giant mayonnaise jars. Looked like it could have once been used in the house, probably the kitchen.
Could this sideboard shelf be saved?
Peter ordered the milk paint then went up to the barn loft and tied a big rope around the piece and lowered it down where Kate and I set it safely on the ground. Then Peter really went to work on the piece. Cut some off the bottom, cut two half circles off the bottom sides and attached them to the lower front shelves. I watched in awe as the artist worked his magic and absolutely transformed this piece!
